Thunder Bay council votes to keep its city-owned golf courses open for business

Recommendation to save $100,000 by closing courses denied

City council in Thunder Bay has decided not to close its two municipal golf courses. An earlier recommendation to council suggested closure of the two city-owned golf courses would save about $100,000. Defenders of the courses argued that growing participation in the sport will lead to growth in the game.
